The Full Story

Rancho Loma Blanca

Rancho Loma Blanca was originally part of a much larger ranch called El Consuelo that was owned by our grandfather Gudelio Garza.  Over the years different sections of the ranch were inherited by my father, aunts and uncles.  Some sections were sold off, others still remain in the family.  Loma Blanca is the northern most section of the original Consuelo Ranch, consists of 13,000 acres and borders the Rio Grande about 15 miles south of Dryden TX. The climate is arid, the terrain is rocky with lots of elevation changes and few flat areas, the vegetation is mostly dessert cacti and some mountain laurel, and the fauna consist of mule and whitetail deer, javalinas, bears, mountain lions, feral burros, quail, dove, and bobcats.  Aoudad sheep have been spotted at times, but they not very frequent.

Location

To get to Loma Blanca we must cross into Mexico through Del Rio, TX / Ciudad Acuna, Coah. Then is a fun 90 mile / 4.5 hour trip to the ranch.  You can either hunt with our guns and ammo, or we can assist with the permits to bring your own.  We will provide food and refreshments, you bring your spirit of choice.

Vision

Come for the hunt, hospitality, and friendship.  After harvesting your trophy deer, enjoy hunting javalinas, coyotes, quail, and even feral burros.  This will be a one of a type hunting experience.  Once you come and hunt Rancho Loma Blanca, you will want to return again and again.
